Hi, I'm Mr.med. Welcome to JustAnswer. I'm reviewing your question now, and will post back with your reply ASAP.
What is the model and brand of your Android device?
Please Go to Settings > Apps or Application Manager.
Scroll to All apps and then scroll down to “Google Play Music” app.
Then, tap on the “Clear data” button.
Open the app details and tap on the “Force stop” button.
Restart your Samsung note book 5 and test.
Has everything worked out, do you still need help please?
when did this start ? also can check in Google Play Music to see if the playlists are there
If the songs are stored on your SD card, Sometimes the phone stops recognizing it, try unmount/remove the SD card and mount it again and check.
