Ive tried replacing the battery and connecting to power.

  1. Press and hold the Volume Up, Home, and Power buttons at the same time
  2. After the phone vibrates, let go of the Power button, while still holding the other two buttons until Android System Recovery screen appears.
  3. Using the “Volume Down” button, highlight “wipe cache partition” and press the Power button to select it.
  4. After the cache partition is cleared, the LG V10 will reboot automatically

That means it did not charge or the battery is gone bad. Remove the battery for 5 mins and then replace and charge for 20 mins

The combo is vol up and power or vol down and power. Depending on the version of your software. Sorry for the typo.

I measured the voltage on both batteries with a DVM. They are both at 3.75 Volts

The button combo is the end all be all that you can perform from home. So if that does not work you may have to attempt a warranty replacement.

Correct that is the manufacturers reset options. If they do not work there is not a ton we can do to attempt to recover this unfortunately. I would try calling T mobile and see if they will still honor the warranty being that it is only 30 days. Let them know you tried the alternate factory reset to no avail.

it does. This could be by design. I tried talking to T Mobile already but just got the run around. thanks for all of your help though.

Honestly at this point everything on the phone not backed up is there but accessible. The only option you have is to factory reset it. You can always reach out to LG but they will have you send it in and they will typically replace it not fix it. They would probably also charge you.

The sim card does not carry any data. They used to but not anymore. If you had an sd card it would possibly have the information on it. I do not charge you anything I am a contracted expert. The sites customer can support you with an billing issues you have however.
