Can you power off the camera by holding the power button until a menu comes up and choose power off

Then power it on and tell me if the Zoom now functions please.

ok, I want you please to try to reset the camera

To do this

  1. Ensure the device is powered off.
    1. To power off, press and hold the Power button.
    2. Select Power off.
    3. Select OK.
      Allow several seconds for the device to power off.
  2. Simultaneously press and hold the Power button and slide the Zoom to the + position until the Samsung logo appears then release.
  3. From the Android system recovery screen, select wipe data/factory reset.
    Utilize the Zoom left / right to highlight and the Power button to select.
  4. Select Yes -- delete all user data.
    Allow several seconds for the factory data reset to complete.
  5. Select reboot system now.
    Allow several minutes for the reboot process to complete.

Tell me if you can complete this and if it then works please.

no it is not working it is like the zoom is jamed

ok, turn it upside down, put it on something that vibrates like an electric razor and power it on and off a few times.

Does this get it released?

I tried that but i did not have any luck I do not have anything that vibrates here at the office

It is the internal gearing that has faulted, this now confirms it

A corrupted firmware can cause this. But we have ruled this out by reinstalling it.
