Last week I was away on vacation and used the hotel's Wi-Fi, which was on an unsecured network. Afterwards, everything came up in Russian and my book purchases from Amazon Kindle disappeared. What may I do to resolve this issue? My Kindle is back to English (United States).

Make sure that the kindle is registered to the correct email address>

To register your Kindle:

  1. From Home, tap the Menu icon, and then tap Settings.
  2. Tap Registration and Household.
  3. Choose the Amazon account you want to use on your Kindle:
    • You will see > already have an Amazon account: Tap this option. Enter your Amazon account information. Tap Register. Your name will appear as the Registered User when registration is complete.
