Are these new books or old books?
Is the kindle currently connected to Wi-Fi / Wireless?

Please try the following until it works:
- Press and hold (or slide and hold) the Power on / off button / switch on the kindle for about 45 seconds, then turn it back on and check.
- Disconnect the power cord(s) from your internet modem / router device(s) for a couple of minutes, then re-connect
, then wait a bit, then go to menu / settings on the kindle, then go to the Wi-Fi / Wireless option, then make sure that it is connected to your wi-fi / wireless network name, then check.
- Click on the Amazon website below:
, then if prompted, sign in your Amazon account
, then click on the Action button / icon of each book you want, then click on the Deliver option, then select your kindle device, then click on Deliver
, then wait a bit, and see if the books get downloaded to your kindle.
