Consumer Cellular/AT&T could not unlock the network and told me to contact the phone manufactuer.
Expert:  Richard replied 4 months ago.

ok, you will have to reset the phone. This will remove all data from the phone and return it to new, but you cannot avoid this. It is the whole reason for the security, to protect the data.

To do the reset

  1. Power off the phone
  2. Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then press and hold the POWER button.
  3. Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
  4. Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER button.

Once done, you can set up the phone and use it again setting a new pin

Let me know how you go please.

ok, before I asked you if this was for the screen lock and you said yes, but now you say it is for a network lock.

Are you now saying it is not for the screen lock but to unlock it to use on any network?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
network locked,,,sorry
Expert:  Richard replied 4 months ago.

ok, your phone provider has to unlock it for you, why did they say they could not?

As they are legally now obligated unless your still in contract.
