My android Motorola decided today that it won't allow me to

Customer Question

My android Motorola decided today that it won't allow me to enter text....just puts the microphone up & then I don't seem to be able to send the message. Incoming is fine but responding doesn't work.
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact make and model of your machine?
Customer: motorola maxx droid. I'll go find the paper with model....I don't have it right here.
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Motorola maxx droid 16GB....haven't done anything except power off & back on
JA: The phone expert can solve this for you. Anything else you want him to know before I connect you two?
Customer: I don't think so thank you.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Cell Phone Technician about your situation and then connect you two.
