Hi, If you have a leather case on your Kindle; Please remove it before performing the steps below.Please press and hold down the power button for 25-30seconds until the Kindle restartsIf that does notwork, then please respond back and let me know so I can continue to troubleshoot.

If that does not work, you will need to perform a factory reset on the Kindle. To do the reset: please go to menu page, then choose "settings", then "menu", you will see the "reset to factory settings" option.
