I ordered a book last night.
Now my device is frozen. The screen shows the 'Thank you' at top of screen, but is not backlit. The device was charged earlier, so there was plenty of power. Don't know what to do.
Pls help. I don't know if the download was completed. I pressed 'Device' icon, and nothing happens.

This is usually caused by a glitch in the firmware and can be resolved by a forced reboot, then your kindle will work normally again. Slide or press and hold the power switch for 40 second, then release.
