I cannot access shop in Kindle and the personalised cover

I cannot access shop in Kindle and the personalised cover does not appear. When I press shop basket the page is blank, when I press left arrow some previously read books appear in not usual format, when I search,no results are found, in spite of the fact that I know they are available. On this second version of Kindle I have read 234 books and find it frustrating being unable to make purchases.

This sounds like there may be a glitch the firmware or the WiFi is not connected.

Try this on your Kindle>

>press and hold the power button for 20 seconds and then release. Then when the kindle powers back on>

  • try connecting to Wi-Fi follow these steps:
  • Tap the Quick Settings icon
  • Select Wi-Fi.
  • Ensure Wireless Networking switch is in the on position.
  • Your home network should appear in the list.
  • Tap the name of your network. A lock symbol will appear next to your network if it requires a password.
  • Enter the characters of the password ***** the onscreen keyboard.
  • If you need help locating your password ***** me know.
  • Then Tap Connect.
  • In the future your Kindle Fire will automatically connect to the network that was most recently used.

      yes, sorry I was offline for awhile. Do you have a wireless router or does your kindle use cellular 3g?
