What are you trying to connect to that requires the password?
and what are you trying to connect it to? Your wifi Network? Your Amazon Account to purchase books?
and you have forgotten the password ***** use correct?
ok, so the Kindle will not turn on at all?
This is usually an issue with the Firmware, so I would first like you to do this please.
Remove the charger from the Kindle and hold the power button to off for 35 seconds.
Release, then connect the charger and try to turn on the Kindle.

ok, can you please click on my link below and follow the steps to reset your Amazon password
do this via your computer and once you have reset the password ***** enter this new password ***** the Kindle.
