Customer Question

I have a nex8100, and the Galaxy Note 5, both of them are compatible with mirror link, & I can not get them to work together. The phone says its connected to the vehicle via mirrorlink, a pioneer unit does not show what's on the screen of the phone

hello. My name is***** can help you with your question.

When you are checking the compatibility, check to be certain that the software versions match for compatibility. Many software conversions are not cross compatible. Also, you should only use one connected device at a time or try to use one connected device the time otherwise it will not work. Here are the exact steps to go through to turn on and connect with mirror link

  1. Connect your mobile device to your vehicle's USB port using a USB cable.
  2. From your device's Home screen, touch Apps .
  3. Touch Settings .
  4. Touch More or More connection settings .
Note: It may be necessary to touch the CONNECTIONS tab and then touch More connection settings.
  5. Touch MirrorLink.
Note: Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.
  6. Touch the Connect to vehicle via USB slider to turn the feature on .
