I cannot use my Acer Iconia A3 Tablet. It asks me to draw a pattern, which I have no idea what it is, then after so long it asks if I forgot my password. I've tried every password *****'ve had in the past 5 yrs. and none of them work. Then it shuts down in
seconds unless I'm typing. HELP!

Hi,

I'm sorry about the issue. What's the full model, such as A3-A11 or A3-A20, etc.?

Can you please reset your Google / gmail email account password ***** the website below and check:

https://www.google.com/accounts/recovery/

- If that does not work, please try:

Option 1:

  1. Please check that the battery is not empty
  2. Turn off the ACER ICONIA A3 TABLET
  3. Press and Hold Power Button until the tablet vibrate and the Acer logo appear in LCD
  4. Press and Hold together: Volume Up + Volume Down Button for several seconds
  5. Choose Clean boot: YES, navigate with Volume Button
  6. Follow the menu at LCD screen to continue the hard reset ACER ICONIA A3 TABLET

Option 2:

  1. Please check that the battery is not empty
  2. Turn off the ACER ICONIA A3 TABLET
  3. Press and Hold Volume Up Button
  4. Continue with Press and Hold Power Button for about 3 seconds, after that release the Power Button (but do not release the Volume Up Button)
  5. You can release Volume Up Button until the LCD screen turn to on
  6. You will see the menu at LCD then choose [SD Image Update Mode]
  7. Choose wipe data/factory reset to performing hard reset with master format. Use Volume Button to navigate and press Power to Enter or OK.
  8. Follow the menu at LCD screen to continue the hard reset .

If that still does not work, please try:

  1. Make sure the tablet is charged.
  2. Power off your device by pressing and hold the Power button, then select the Power off option and confirm.
  3. Press and hold at the same time the two buttons Volume Down and Power until the Recovery screen will appear.
  4. Use Volume Up / Down buttons to select option wipe data/factory reset then press Power button.
  5. Use Volume Up / Down buttons to select option Yes... then press Power button.
  6. Press Power button when showing reboot option.

    (If it does not work, try the above steps again, but at step #3, use Volume Up button (instead of Volume Down.)
