ok, but there are a number of passwords so I need to know which one you are referring to please.
Is this the lock on the screen so you can unlock the Kindle and actually use it?

It is not a password ***** a POSTCODE!!!!!!!!

Kindle wont usually ask for a post code so not sure still what your referring to which is why I have been asking.
Try this please
Remove the charger from the Kindle and hold the power button to off for 35 seconds.
Release, then connect the charger and try to turn on the Kindle.

ok, then register the Kindle via your computer instead

Once there, all you'll need to do is enter the Kindle's serial number. The serial number is ***** on the first page, of the Setting screen on your Kindle (Home > Menu > Settings).
Then restart the Kindle and it should now be registered.
