hey there. I'm Andrew and I'm like to try to help
what model of asus tablet is it exactly?
It's an Asus TF300T
and you charged it find a few times and now it won't charge?
Most of the time I leave it plug in and I didnt notice if it's charging or not
until lastnight I was looking at the battery and it's down to 23% and it's not charging
do you ahve it plugged into a wall outlet or a computers usb port?
I switched with different plug, even computer USB
everytime i plug in the computer USB. It said, connected as media device
but it never charged
alright, give me a moment to see if i can figure this out
were u using the same cable for all of those tests?
yes. this is the only cable that come with the tablet
where did u purchase this from?
I dont think it's the cable's problem because when I plugged it into USB port, the computer recognized it.
was just thinking that, hmmm, this si strange
That's what I was thinking too. Lol
do u have it in the dock while charging it
ah, i dont think so. Most of the time, I just left it on my bed while it's
just found this on a forum, interesting to know
Asus Wall Port
(15 VDC @ 1.2 Amps): Charge rate of ~35% per hour with screen off. Will charge with the screen on and indicate charging. Typical USB Port (5 VDC @ 0.5 Amps): Charge rate of ~3% per hour with screen off. Will NOT charge with the screen on. Will NOT indicate it is charging. iPad Wall Wart (5 VDC @ 2.0 Amps): Charge rate of ~10% per hour with screen off. Will NOT charge with the screen on. Will NOT indicate it is charging.
seems it won't say its charging unless u use the wall adapter that came with it, but i'm assuming u've fiddled with that already
Ummm I have a phone charger that has a USB port
so i plugged my tabblet charger in there to test it out
since it's the only Asus cable I have in the house
If somehow it's charging but it's not indicate that it's charging. Then how would I know if it's charging or not? lol
did the tablet come with a wall adapter?
yes. it does
and you plugged that into a known working plug and still not showing charging?
now that we talk about it, I dont think I been using that wall plug as a charger
cuz i was thinking that i have my phone charger with USB port
maybe try that one more time and see, maybe try charging thru
ya, sounds like you HAVE TO use their wall charger
ummmmm it works now <,<
cause its a higher voltage charger, thats what i found in that forum
well there you go
lol. thanks alot. I felt stupid for a sec
thank for helping. you have a great day :)
don't, i woudl've thoguht teh same thing
usually all those chargers are interchangable
you have a great day too! nice talking with you
well, i didnt think of trying that wall plug.... i guess Asus just want me to use their product only :P
nice talking to you too. thanks ago
