How do I RESET to factory setting on my MID Android tablet

How do I RESET to factory setting on my MID Android tablet ver. 2.2. I system only boots to the rotating android on the space ship and stays.

Hi and welcome,

My name is Nick. I will assist you with your Android issues.

  1. Please press and hold Power button to turn off your tablet.
  2. Press and hold Volume Up and Power buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds.
  3. Once see the menu, select wipe data / Factory reset. (Use Volume keys to scroll up/down. Use Power button to select)
  4. It will take about 2-3 minutes to reset.
  5. Then your tablet will boot in.
  6. Set up and use as normal.

I turned the tablet off, then pressed the volume Up and power buttons at the same time and held them for 10 seconds. nothing happened, and it just continued on to the rotating Andiod on the space ship.

Please turn off your tablet. This time press and hold Volume Down and Power buttons at the same time for 10 seconds. Do you see any menu comes up? Or still the same Android screen?

Was your tablet rooted or updated with another ROM? Or was it updated to ICS firmware?

Still the same Adroid screen. I have not updated or loaded anything to this tablet. I have only had it five days.

Please turn off your tablet again.
Once it is off, press and hold Back button and Power button for 10 seconds.
Then you will see the Android and ! screen, press Back button again.
Select wipe data / Factory reset.
Your tablet should reset.

If this does not work, try the last combination which is Volume Up + Volume Down + Power button after you turned off the tablet.

It seems like your tablet software is corrupted. Since you just bought it, please try contact your seller or vendor to return for a replacement. Even if the tablet can be reset, it might have more problem in the future.
