I am trying to install a 32 .gb micro sd in my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. It appears to be properly seated and the tab sees it but when i try to mount it, it says "bland sd or unsupported file system". When i try to select format, it says "checking sd card" but it does nothing. How do i get it to mount the card so i can use it?
Already Tried: Looked at online forums. No help
Hi, did you get a chance to try the card in your computer or another device?
i tried it in another Galaxy Tab 2 and it didn't work in it either. a 16 gb sd works in both Tabs. i tried it on my PC and it says it can't be formatted.
Thanks - so now we know exactly what the problem is - the card itself is bad.I also checked with Samsung and confirmed that the Galaxy Tab 2 WILL work with a 32GB card - no problem there. All you need to do is replace the card with a new one, and it will work in both devices.Thanks,J.
this kind of feels like a "thanks for nothing" situation since it can't be fixed. i feel like a dumbs**t for not being able to figure it out myself. well done on your part, though.
Thank you, XXXXX XXXXX that. Can you please rate my answer below? I hope I earned a good rating from you. Thanks again,J.
