Customer Question

I keep losing the page I'm reading. It turns blank and a message says to seek tech support.

Already Tried:
Going back to the library and touching on the book I'm reading. Sometimes I have to do this several times. It doesn't always go back to the page I was reading, but goes to the beginning of the book.

Please try holding down the power button/switch for 15 seconds and see if your Nook will restart.

If that does not work then please try holding down the n button(Home) AND the power button for 15 seconds

After the restart, try using the Nook again.

Right now the reader is working. I never know when it will go blank on me again. Should I do as you suggested even if it is currently working? Or should I wait until it stops working to try your solution? If I do it now, and it opens properly, how do I know if it did so because of what you suggested or because it would have done it anyway?

I would recommend doing the steps above now; if there is a glitch in your software then the steps above will correct it.

You can use the steps above at anytime if there is a glitch in the software or the Nook is frozen.

In order to follow your directions I had to power off my Nook. First I tried turning back on holding down the power button for 15 seconds. It said it was starting up, but it never went past that stage. I tried to power off again and it would not power off. Then I tried holding down the power button and the n button for 15 seconds. It came back to the screen saying it is starting up but it doesn't open.
