i have an HTC sensation XE and got N Update for ICE 4.0 aftr up date my WIFI does not work what should i do

 



Already Tried:
hard reset, factory reset, changing wifi options when in sleep. nothing works

Can you please tell me if you are able to connect to the wifi at all? or if you receive and error and if so what this error is please?

can"t connect at all. It won't even pick up any network. Before doing the factory default all the networks i had saved would show up but would show out of range and i would be unable to connect. Now i cant even get them.

As a test, can you shut the phone down and take out the SIM card.

Start the phone up with no SIM card and tell me please if it sees Wifi Networks then.

I have done all that already. I have start without sim, without SD card, without both. with one and not the other. Still no WIFI.

Can you check under settings if the HotSpot is switched on please

It is under Wireless & Networks, Portable Wi-Fi hotspot

Download the wifixmanager.apk file on the webpage on your phone. Either but downloading it from the phone itself or loading it on the memory card and installing it straight from there.

still have not been able to get that done i have not had time to really try it out cant root the phone just yet so unable to do what you have recommended

Hi,

I recommend taking your phone to your carrier to have them to give you a replacement device. Since the update caused the issue.
