Hi there, and welcome to JustAnswer, I look forward to assisting you today with your question and providing the best answer possible.Very sorry about the delayCan you please tell me what goes wrong when you connect it to the computer.- how did you connect it in the past?- Are you getting any error messages and if so what is it?
Nothing really happens when I connect my phone to my computer anymore. It just charges. The phone doesnt reconize that its hooked up and the computer can not find the phone. I have tried hooking the phone up to another computer and its the same thing
Thank YouIt is most likely defaulting to Charge Mode instead of Mass Storage.Connect the phone to the computerPull down the notification (slide from the top of the screen) that shows you are connected via USB, click on USB connected. Make sure mass storage is selected then click done. Wait 30 seconds or so and both the internal memory and SD card should mount with no problem and be available like before on the computer. If you have any difficulties, please do not hesitate to let me know Before Rating My Service. In advance, Thanks for giving a positive rating! It doesnt even show that I am connected USB on the phone in the notifications or in the settings. It is in mass storage I have tried with both debugging on and off.
Thank you for the information. When you say you resetted the phone, what was this reset? Turning it off and on? Factory Reset?
I have tried both
ok, the cable may be faultyAre you able to try a different cable?
I have 2 of them and my phone does not work with either of them
Thank You, XXXXX XXXXX rule this out.Another cause for this is the Main Framework service corrupting. What I want to do is clear this service, then restart the phone. To do this, can you do the following pleaseOn the phone go to Settings, Applications, Manage Applications.Press ALL so all Applications are listed.Look for and press on Google Services Framework.Press Clear DataOnce done, remove the battery and wait 5 minutesThen put the battery back in and turn on the phone and try to connect. If you still have the problem, please let me know Before Rating My Service Thank You.
Still does not connect to my computer
ok, with it connected to the computer. Can you go to Start, and right click on Computer and select ManageThen go to Disk Management. Look for the device there as a hard disk (as it is mounted in windows as one)If you see it, right click on it and assign it a drive letter. If you do not see it there, go back to Start, right click on Computer and select Manage.Go to Device ManagerLook for the phone there, it will most likely be listed under Other Devices. If it is, right click on it and select Uninstall. Then restart the computer and tell me if the computer recognizes it please.
No that did not work either. I have my old LG phone that I tried also and my computer picks that up right away
