Hi there, and welcome to JustAnswer, I look forward to assisting you today with your question and providing the best answer possible.

Very sorry about the delay

Can you please tell me what goes wrong when you connect it to the computer.

- how did you connect it in the past?

- Are you getting any error messages and if so what is it?

Customer replied 280 days and 10 hours ago.

Nothing really happens when I connect my phone to my computer anymore. It just charges. The phone doesnt reconize that its hooked up and the computer can not find the phone. I have tried hooking the phone up to another computer and its the same thing

Thank You

It is most likely defaulting to Charge Mode instead of Mass Storage.

Connect the phone to the computer

Pull down the notification (slide from the top of the screen) that shows you are connected via USB, click on USB connected.

Make sure mass storage is selected then click done.

Wait 30 seconds or so and both the internal memory and SD card should mount with no problem and be available like before on the computer.

If you have any difficulties, please do not hesitate to let me know Before Rating My Service.

In advance, Thanks for giving a positive rating! Ratings are how I receive credit for helping you today.

If you need further assistance for this problem before or after rating feel free to ask a follow up and I'll be
glad to help.

Thanks,
Richard

It doesnt even show that I am connected USB on the phone in the notifications or in the settings. It is in mass storage I have tried with both debugging on and off.

Thank you for the information.

When you say you resetted the phone, what was this reset? Turning it off and on? Factory Reset?

Customer replied 280 days and 10 hours ago.

I have tried both

ok, the cable may be faulty

Are you able to try a different cable?

Customer replied 280 days and 10 hours ago.

I have 2 of them and my phone does not work with either of them

Thank You, XXXXX XXXXX rule this out.

Another cause for this is the Main Framework service corrupting.

What I want to do is clear this service, then restart the phone.

To do this, can you do the following please

On the phone go to Settings, Applications, Manage Applications.

Press ALL so all Applications are listed.

Look for and press on Google Services Framework.

Press Clear Data

Once done, remove the battery and wait 5 minutes

Then put the battery back in and turn on the phone and try to connect.

If you still have the problem, please let me know Before Rating My Service Thank You.

Still does not connect to my computer

ok, with it connected to the computer.

Can you go to Start, and right click on Computer and select Manage

Then go to Disk Management. Look for the device there as a hard disk (as it is mounted in windows as one)

If you see it, right click on it and assign it a drive letter.

If you do not see it there, go back to Start, right click on Computer and select Manage.

Go to Device Manager

Look for the phone there, it will most likely be listed under Other Devices. If it is, right click on it and select Uninstall.

Then restart the computer and tell me if the computer recognizes it please.

Customer replied 280 days and 9 hours ago.

No that did not work either. I have my old LG phone that I tried also and my computer picks that up right away
