My Samsung Galaxy S wont send SMS/text messages

My Samsung Galaxy s won't send SMS/text messages. I have shut on and off, tried a new phone to check it's not my carrier to no avail.

Can you call out and receive calls and text messages?

No, it is not a new phone. I have had it for just over a year. I started the issue a couple of months ago, after using a differnt SIM card in the phone while travelling. When I returned, and put my usual SIM back in the phone the text messages wouldn't send.

I can make and received calls, and can also receive text messages.

When you try to send a text/SMS, do you see any error message?

There is no message, but the red triangle warning comes up on the message list. The message itself just says sending.

Please do the following steps to clear out the Messaging service settings:

Go to Settings

Select Applications /Manage Apps

Select Manage Applications

Select All

Select Messaging

Select Force Stop and Clear cache

Go back to ALL and select Google Services Framework

Select Clear Data.

Turn your device off and back on.

Test to send out your SMS. Thank you.

Thanks, ***** ***** has just run out of charge. Iw ill try this as soon as I can charge it. If your solution doesn't work what should I try next?

You can try clear data for Messaging. This assumes that you use the original Messaging app.

Go to Settings

Select Applications /Manage Apps

Select Manage Applications

Select All

Select Messaging

Select Force Stop and Clear data.

Turn off your phone and turn it back on.

Test texting again.

If it does not work, we can do a reset.
