Hi and thanks for using JustAnswer. My name is XXXXX XXXXX X will do whatever I can to help answer your questions.
I am very sorry that an expert has not gotten back to you about this yet. I understand many problems are time sensitive and may have already been resolved. If this is the case I can have the question closed for you.
If you have not resolved the issue, I will be glad to help, just let me know you still need assistance.
For you, here is the Archos101 User Guide. Now, about the wifi. Do this please.
Are you able to see your wifi network in the list now?
I guess my archos is kapoot.
When you enable wifi on the Archos... does it show yo a list of any available wifi networks?
No, it does not show any available networks.
OK, then then its only one or two things. One, Its software related, and you can resolve it by doing a factory reset of the device. If that doesnt resolve it then the wifi radio in the device has become corrupt. The only option then would be to contact the seller and request a refund or exchange of the tablet due to hardware failure.
To reset the device:
In the Settings App, do you see an option called "Storage & SD card" or "Storage"?
There is a "reset media storage"(delete all your files..apps are not uninstalled).
also "mass storage file system format" (change the file system formatof the mass storage area).
I have selected:Windows/MacOS compatible.(FAT32)
I did not select :Large HD files support.(EXT3)
Not much help, am I?
Thats very strange as you are not seeing what should be there. I am going to do some research into your model and see what could be the issue, as there is no reason for this.
All I have found is that it should be exactly where I mentioned it, so I actually emailed one of yoru manufacturers reps, and am waiting to hear back from them.
