4Wd model? Dies it travel in 2WD and 4WD? When you say it does not travel well, is it making gear noises or ??? Hydrostat transmission or straight geared transmission?

With unit in 2WD, and axle lock off, will the tractor drive? If it does, axles are ok.

$1000 in parts! I would drain oil and look for brken teeth or loose parts in the drive axle end of the tractor.
