Working on neighbors*****shaft u joint failed because lack of grease, not a big deal except after reassemley the rubber isolator coupling broke and bolts broke also. Removend enging to get broken bolts, reassembled ran less than one hour coupleing broke again. Don,t no what im doing wrong.

Johndeere 2320 drive shaft from engine fly wheel to hyd pump, its the only drive shaft on engine to tractor.
most owners of this model has had problem with this drive shaft

Shaft seems pretty plain jane. Is the hydro stat easy to turn? No binding? The shaft may be being damaged by too much load! Does engine seem to be laboring? See shaft picture above.

The three thru bolts go into the flywheel , thru the # 1 guide and be sure the pilot bearing # 2 is good for the # 7 shaft, and bearing is in place # 6.
