Customer Question

John Deere 630 gas - 1959. I Replaced cylinder head and refurbished cylinder head with new springes and valve guides and valves ground professionally. Carburetor rebuilt, new intake and exhaust manifold and all new gaskets. Only thing not done was re-torque cylinder head after running. Right cylinder does not fire. Tried many new different spark plugs and wire. Still no fire on right cylinder.

Do you have spark on the cylinder? Do the valves have clearance?

Do you have spark from the distributor cap? If not, check the dist cap and rotor and the dist cam, to see if it is opening the points on the dead cylinder.
