Key off the whole time?
Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Expert:  John Oliver replied 4 months ago.

install fuse with key off. then turn key on an follow steps

BIF BCU HCU ECU all controllers that should have a code or 2 in them

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
The line above controllers r blank -- how do I get into controllers ?
Expert:  John Oliver replied 4 months ago.

left or right turn to toggle and flash to pass for "enter"

BIF enter .... right turn to address 01 enter it will then scroll threw the codes

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
I wrote down everything without 000 under them
Expert:  John Oliver replied 4 months ago.

there is no way that tractor has that many codes. pretty sure at that point it may think its a combine

in each controller at address 001 is where the codes are stored

so you would (for example) go to the BIF controller and right turn to address 001 and enter. at that point the fault codes will scroll threw and when they are done it will say "end"

Expert:  John Oliver replied 4 months ago.

all we are concerned about is address 001 in each controller

BCU 076. Hcu 028 mean anything
Expert:  John Oliver replied 4 months ago.

your getting closer now

BCU 076 indicated that the pto is spinning while the switch is off. is it?

HCU 028 is a calibration failure. does the hitch work?

Expert:  John Oliver replied 4 months ago.

with all your issues I would have assumed there would have been way more codes. The dash displayed BCU 076 and then "END" ?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Pto is off when off but pto light blinks like it is on
Customer: replied 4 months ago.
3 point works
Customer: replied 4 months ago.
on the end ?
Expert:  John Oliver replied 4 months ago.

well... this is going to be super simple or really difficult. first off go to address BCU 04 and check the switch. the reading should be as follows

PTO off X0X

PTO on X1X

next you need to check the x03 connector. that the only connection point that has the same thing in common with your 2 codes.

I can send you a picture of the connector location if you can supply me with an email. take a very close look at this connector to be sure that wires are not pinched or grounded. remove the connector from the socket and inspect for corrosion or damage. if none is found there then take a look around and under the operators platform and see if you can find the grounding point that all grounds attach to. make sure that is good and clean

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Expert:  John Oliver replied 4 months ago.

ok I sent you picture of the location on that connector. let me know what you find

Expert:  John Oliver replied 4 months ago.
