that code does not have anything to do with temp sensor. It is a VGT actuator communication error. means that the vanes on the turbo are stuck and the ECM isn't happy about there position. check to be sure the linkage on the turbo moves free. Any time I have seen this code there was a new turbo purchased

Expert:  John Oliver replied 10 months ago.

also check the connector at the turbo actuator, being as this is a loss communication code

hi thanks for your reply, the actuator is working fine along with the throttle position it all moves freely, I have a diagnostics machine and I can see the voltage changing when move the throttle, but there is no signal coming back to the ecu telling it the position. it maybe the board on the variable turbo the contacts have broken down.

agree. if you do not have feedback from the VGT actuator the ECM will default. everytime you cycle the key the system goes threw a self check and that's why the code appears first off and the ECM derates the system from the first start. sounds like you need a actuator

thanks for using JA

the actuator moves all ok when you turn the ignition on, when it does the self check.
Expert:  John Oliver replied 10 months ago.

self check happens each time you cycle the key

were you able to resolve this?
