Customer Question

I have a 6 wheel John Deere Gator that was given to me. My neighbor purchased the gator sometime between 1998 and 2001. (I am unable to locate the model or serial number), but it ran fine until July 2, 2016. It just quit, and will not start - engine will not turn over- lights will not turn on- dump bed will not rise.
Any suggestions of what I should look for to have it operational again?

No voltage to the keyswitch. Is battery voltage above 12.5 volts? The voltage for the keyswitch comes from the posiitve cable on the starter soleniid, The small wire goes to the fuse box, then to the keyswitch. Check the voltage at the battery, the starter solenoid and the fuse box.

It shows fusible link , usually near the starter wiring. Would look like a fuse soldered in a wire.
