I have a 4710 John Deere eHydro tractor. I replaced the forward

Customer Question

I have a 4710 John Deere eHydro tractor. I replaced the forward and reverse solenoid valve coils because the tractor would not move. After putting it back together the wheels turn backwards without the pedal being pushed down. Any idea why it's doing that?

You need to re-calibrate you forward and reverse pots after replacing the solenoid here are the procedures

I tried to re calibrate. As soon as the tractor is started and put in A the wheels starts rolling backwards. You can even unplug the pedals and they still turn. It didn't do it until I replaced the forward and reverse solenoids.

The reverse solenoid might be bad then you might want to ohn it out and check it I know it is new but they do sell broken new parts and also I know John Deere had a recall on the ehydro trannys in the early 2000's you might want to give them a call and make sure yours is not want of them

It will not recalibrate with the wheels turning backwards.

Did you check and make sure the solenoids are plugged up correctly?
