I am trying to front tilt cylinders for cat d5mxl 2001 model. welded nut to pin and tryed to pull out but no luck. looks like i need to cut the inside plate with torch and push in to remove?

You are trying to get cylinder out of its mounting! I thought you were taking the cylinder apart!

If you can't get slid hammer through track and on pin, you will have to cut it out!

No, just pining so can take to hydraulic co to be re packed.

Cat dealer told me to remove cap with 3 bolts and weld nut onto pin and pry out. Tried for several hours to remove pin. It appears that pin is larger on inside of pin. Seems like I need to drive up on timbers to get blade low enough to get pin out underneath frame?

I thought once the cap was off, pin would come out! Sorry, no help here! Never had one of these out!
