Have a gc2400 ran fine but all the sudden the transmission

Customer Question

Have a gc2400 ran fine but all the sudden the transmission pedals will not put tractor in gear. The pedals also seem not to have any tension, though spring is in place.

Is the front drive shaft from the engine to the hydrostat turning? If the shaft strips out the flange bolts, at the engine end, or the u-joint at the transmission end, you lose drive, and pedals have no pressure.

I'm going to have to pull it up to my shop. Is the u joints something I can handle or do I need to take it to a tractor mech.
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 1 year ago.

I doubt it is the u-joints. Maybe the spline or shaft!
