Customer Question

I have a ford 861 tractor. The rear lift would drop with weight slowly and then correct itself. Removed side cover and found small stream of oil leaking from control valve spool. IT manual shows spool and bushing have to be replaced. There is no seal? Can you help? Thanks

Hi, my name is***** will be assisting you.

There are no seals on it. They run pretty close tolerances and I guess when the machine was built they felt as though they didn't need seals. As you look around that tractor you will find this too be true in a lot of areas where there are valves and passages there were just no seals built into the system. You should be able to replace the spool and bushing to solve your problem.
