Customer Question

On a John Deer 4045T engine, can too much valve lash cause valve keepers to wear and eventually fail?

Hi, my name is ***** ***** you for your question.
Sorry for delay.
Simple answer is yes,, to much valve lash can cause premature keeper failure.
Instead of smoothly pushing valves down its more like hammering down to open valves so excessive wear would cause the failure.
Thanks in advance for leaving a positive rating. If you happen to need more help, this question will stay open for weeks.
