how to adjust clutch on 5400 john deere

koboma :

The only adjustment to the clutch externally is the rod that adjusts the freeplay of the pedal. You lengthen or shorten the adjustment rod to obtain about 3/4 in freeplay at the top of the clutch pedal travel.

koboma :

# XXXXX is the adjustment rod.

Customer:

what about internally

Nothing to adjust other than the spring tension which comes adjusted on a new or reconditioned pressure plate. What is the problem? clutch slipping, and you already have freeplay?
