How do I change push rods and broken valves in a IH 468?
Already Tried: took valve cover off and seen I had 2 broken pusk rods, drained oil and looks like I have pieces of valve in oil pan.
The cylinder head has to be removed to repair the valves, and if there are valve pieces in the oil pan, you likely have a broken piston which is going to have to be repaired.
You are going to have a major repair and not a quick easy fix. Sorry.
If it is just the push rods, you can replace them just by installing new pushrods, and adjusting the valves.
Let me know. Thank you.
You can check the valves by running a compression test on each cylinder. Zero compression would be bad valve and piston.
