How to install top transmission cover 385 International diesel ttractor
Optional Information: Make: International Model: 384 Year: 1986 Engine: diesel Already Tried: put top on and it's not in the right gear
You have to get the transmission gears in the neutral position, then the shifter is placed in the neutral slot in the shift forks, then the cover is installed, just put bolt in each corner and test, before finishing.
all the slots should be in line in neutral. and the gears should be freewheeling.
Does it have slkots or do the gears have grooves the shift forks fit in?
It has groves, how do you make sure it is the neutral position

You rotate the gears, in neutral the gears with the grooves will rotate.
Line up the shift fork with the groove and install the cover.
