I have a Bush Hog Mid Mount Zero turn mower model # XXXXX with a 25HP Koehler engine #CV25S. Was running fine then weird noise some smoke and died. The engine will not turn over now like it is locked up. Is this the engine or could it be the PTO or clutch? How can I determine what the problem is and is their a way to unlock.
Already Tried: I can turn the pulley at the bottom of the shaft that comes off the engine. The clutch is just above this pulley.
Hi i'm Wayne I will try to help you Good Morning This is hard to say with out seeing it But I would say to remove the belt from the clutch, and see if the engine spins over that way It is not likely that the PTO , would seize the engine The smoke is the part that gets me, that is a indication of frozen clutch
