hi i have a shibaura 2 cylinder diesel engine that i have just put a second hand injector pump into, and when i start it up it over revs.any tips on what i could be doing wrong? there are adjuster screws for it on the block, but dont know how or where to set them to. ay help would be greatly appreciated.regards tony XXX@XXXXXX.XXX
Already Tried: have bleed injectors etc... but over revving when it starts
Is this a stand alone pump, or does it go into a hole in the block?
If it is the one that drops into the block, it has a link that has to be connected to the governor, did you connect the governor link?
If it is the stand alone pump, it will have an inspection plate on the side of it.
This cover would need to be removed, to see if the injector bodies will rotate with the each other freely.
The injectors are stuck, so the governor doesn't work, or if the first version, the link to governor might be off.
??
What is the application? Model number?
The injection pump, in both styles has the injector bodies in the pump, joined with a rack that turns the bodies to change the fuel flow, which changes the rpm. If this rack is not moving the injectors, you have uncontrolled rpm.
Let me know. Thank you.
