tilt up/down gear is broken and need to replace where can I find one
JA: How many miles are on the car? Have you noticed any fluid leaks lately?
Customer: 108000 and no it is the tilt up down on the coloumn
JA: What is the model/year of your Acura?
Customer: 97 RL
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes and I have the motor for the tilt on the coloumn off and can see the gear is broken
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no much else I see the problem I need a part number to get the gear and all will be good

Unfortunately Acura does not offer just a replacement gear, they sell it as the entire column. My suggestion would be to check auto recyclers via this link and purchase a used column assembly.
