Customer Question

Am experiencing a 2-3 day battery drain on my 2007 TL. Threw an ammeter into circuit and pulled one fuse and one relay at a time till I narrowed the 10 amp draw to the ACC? Bac up 40 amp fuse. Don't know what all is on this circuit
JA: How many miles are on the car? Has the car been starting normally?
Customer: Odometer reading 87,000 miles. Car starting with no problems if battery has been charged
JA: Are you fixing your TL yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I have always fixed my own vehicles, butI don't have for example the ALL Data wiring diagrams on this vehicle
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No

Hello welcome to Just answer I am master tech and will be able to assist you.

can you place your hand on the HFL unit on the roof console and tell me if this is warm.

if you start the car does the a/c clutch stay engaged even is the climate control is all off ?

I will have to reinstall 40 amp fuse and check those items. What is HFL?
Expert:  MASTER TECH replied 2 months ago.

the hands free link unit.

Expert:  MASTER TECH replied 2 months ago.

it's mounted under the map light but try to not leave the door open so it does not get hot.

but since the fuse is out it's not going to be warm since the system has been inactive.

so what you can is reinstall the fuse and do a parasitic draw test and see how many M/A draw is on the meter
