After sitting unused weeks, my 2013 ILX battery seems to be

Customer Question

After sitting unused for 5 weeks, my 2013 ILX battery seems to be dead. The anti-theft red blinking light does not blink. The other problem is neither one of my electronic key fobs work to let me in the car to unlatch the hood, AND neither one of the mechanical keys work either. I insert the key, turn right, turn left, pull handle, etc. etc. and there is nothing. No click, no sounds, no response. I am the only owner, and the service guy at my Acura dealer doesn't have a clue either. He just told me to call a locksmith. Any ideas on how to get in?

so you can gain access into the car then yes ?

Expert:  MASTER TECH replied 5 months ago.

if you use the key it will allow you to manually unlock the drivers door and open the hood and jump start the car.

I mean to say I have removed the key from the fob and tried to manually unlock the door but that does not work. I can not get in my car. I turn the key both ways and pull on the handle. Nothing
Expert:  MASTER TECH replied 5 months ago.

hmm thats odd

because the key is manually connected to the lock rod.

not sure why this is not unlocking unless some work was done in the drivers door and something was not reconnected.

at this point im afraid I can't be of any help at this point. you will need to get a tow truck to come unlock the door to gain access.

I'm sorry

My local Acura dealer has no solution either. Thanks
Expert:  MASTER TECH replied 5 months ago.

you will need to call a tow truck so they can come use a lock out tool kit to unlock the car.

I will close this question and submit for a refund for you.ok
