Try resetting the radio by disconnecting the battery to see if you can get the display to read COdE again. In the meanwhile what is your Vin? I'll look up the reset code for you to enter once you have it showing COdE.

The code Youll provided is wrong it's suppose to be a 5 number code. Using 1 threw 6 only. Cause I have to use the radio preset numbers

The honda database is giving me an error code that says this VIN doesn't match this radio. Did this radio come from a different car?

This is the error it gives:

We bought it used. But the message on the radio should be the serial number for the radio. Right? You can't just get the code for the radio without the vin#

That's not how Honda does it.

They require the VIN and the serial to match in their database in order to generate a code. You might be able to call honda customer care directly and see if they can get a code for just the radio, but I've never tried.
