is it possible for the neutral safety switch being the cause of throwing a P0706 code on 1999 acura cl. 3.0 w/4 sp auto tranny. keep in mind that it is not considered the transmission range position sensor on the model that I own.

Even if it's called something else, the code is still referring to it, whether it's called the neutral safety switch or the transmission range switch.
