This answer was rated:

im replacing the sempertine belt, of an acura mdx 2004 got the belt from the dealer, but it seems a little short/ it seems like a lot a tension is required diagram is correct, what else can i do?

It is possible that it was either manufactured incorrectly or boxed wrong.

Measure the belt. It should be 84". If not the length, then it is the incorrect belt.

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

what if is the same size?

They can be a bit tight going on. I find the easiest way to install them is to route the belt around all the pulleys, including the tensioner, except the power steering pulley. I hold the belt tight with one hand and with other I rotate the tensioner and then route belt around the power steering pulley
