Are you getting any symptoms? Is it the original transmission?
That code is for Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Malfunction
dont know if its original trans -bout car with 197,000 miles previously had to repair 3rd gear solenoid swith --car works fine no aparent problems
That can be the actual torque converter solenoid or the wiring itself. Have you cleared the code, only to have it return?
can i take this to a transmission shop would it be cheaper than going to dealer? does trans have to be dismounted?
A trans shop is the best bet, definately cheaper than the dealer. If it is the solenoid, it is only 30 min labor to replace it.

if you clear the code and it does not come back and there are no symptoms, you should be fine. It still could be either the solenoid or the wiring if it does not come back, either one can be intermittant like that, but typically it is the solenoid.
can you give me the part number of the torque converter solonoid switch? there seems to be more than one?
It is also called a lock up solenoid and is a dealer item. I do not have that part number available.
