how is the engine running? any hesitation, lack or power or other issues?

has the onboard computer been scanned for fault codes yet, and if so, what are they?

no to the second part

Ok, the blinking check engine light means that there is a misfire in the engine, either in one or more cylinders. This can be from a faulty spark plug, ignition coil or ignition wire, faulty fuel injector, valves out of adjustment, weak fuel pressure.

the first step is to have the onboard computer read for stored fault codes, which all major parts stores will do for FREE. the codes will tell you whether the misfire is in one or more of the cylinders, and tell you the cylinders involved.

Once this is established, then further diagnosis can be made to determine which of the above mentioned components has failed and is responsible for the misfire
