Hi, thank you for using justanswer.com. My name is XXXXX XXXXX i will help assist you today.

1smartcarguy :

there should be 2 fuses to check 1 is in the under hood fuse box

1smartcarguy :

#9 7.5 amp

1smartcarguy :

the other is in the under dash fuse box #8 7.5amp.

1smartcarguy :

just out of curiosity, usually there is a fuse in the underhood.under dash fuse box that is labeled backup fuse. check this one as well. not sure off the top of my head which one it is.

1smartcarguy :

also when you mean dead it wont turn on at all. or it turns on and just doesnt play sound?

Customer:

I have fuse diagrams. I believe #9 on the under hood box is back up

Customer:

It shows #8 on under dash

Customer:

The radio does not show any power at all

1smartcarguy :

if both of those fuses are ok. you need to acquire a terst light or volt meter and check to see if those fuses are being powered or not. if so you will need to remove the radio to start checking for power at the wires for the radio connectors

Customer:

Ok I replaced the backup fuse under the hood and now I only need to obtain the radio code

1smartcarguy and other Acura Specialists are ready to help you
to get the radio code you will need the serial number. to get the serial number hold down preset buttons 1 and 6 then turn on the radio power. it will give you a 8 digit code. this is the serial number. i need this to get your code. also would need to wait till Monday as honda is unavailable till then to get it.

or you can look through your owners manual/service history book and it should be in there.
