2000 TL 3.2....infrequent but getting worse- when car is typically warm if I try and start it takes some gas pedal to get it to catch but then very rough low idle and it sometimes stalls....after about a minute if I can keep it going it typically goes away and idles fine. Sometimes the check engine light comes on. Dont have the code readout yet. Code readouts are multiple misfires 301,302,303,304....

Usually when it does this I have to start it by giving it a little gas pedal until it catches and then rev it to about 2-3k on the tack for about 20-30 seconds...it goes back down real low to about 200-300 on tach but always goes away in minutes and than runs fine.
Plus were replaced within last 20k with the oem plugs. Valves have never been adjusted and Fuel pressure regulator is original.
Thank you! Trying to eliminate some of these so tell me if this make sense-If it were the valves than wouldnt it be consistent and not infrequent- ie when warm sometimes it does it and most not?
oops! Hit the return key by mistake. I should probably do the EGR cleanout first and if it still does this then replace the fule pressure regulator if my assumption on the valves is correct. I have also read that the main relays on these are also a contributor to hard start rough idle issues?
Sorry but I tried to get back to you and the site was hung up all day yesterday "loading" but it never loaded! My pressure regulator doesnt have a dot on the top-looks like a black center in the circle of the top but doesnt look like a dot added by someone? Does that help?.
Thank you for your help. One last question on cleaning out the EGR valve-its just carbon buildup I'm trying to remove right? just a wire and a vacuum to catch the carbon i scrape away?
