My car is leaking fluid near the front right tire. Is this something where I need to have the car towed to get it serviced? It makes a thumping noise when driven. I think this was caused by driving over a large bump or pothole.
Optional Information: Year : 2006 Make : Acura Model: TSX Engine: 4 cylinder Already Tried: We tried driving it a little but noticed a noise. We thought it was a flat tire but then we checked the tire and it was fine. There is liquid leaking near the tire though.
What color is the liquid by the tire?
Its a blackish brown color
Have you checked all the fluid levels under the hood? Brake, power steering, etc......
No not yet.. we can do that to see.
Yes check and see if any are low. This will be an indication if low of which system to take a look at.
ok we'll do that. if the fluid is low should we just add more and then take it to the dealer to have it looked at?
If not comfortable trying to repair yourself then yes you will want to take it to a dealer. If the brake fluid is low I suggest having it towed as if loosing brake fluid you can loose your brakes.
