I started to add a new account for my program, but wasn't

I started to add a new account for my program, but wasn't sure it was what I actually wanted so stopped the update. Now everything is frozen and I can't get any information or our of this mess. Please help.
JA: The Financial Software Technician will know how to help. Is there anything else the Financial Software Technician should be aware of?
Customer: The program is from 2014, which I believe was my last update. I just added two checks for 2017 and originally wanted to print out the last 12 months transactions for tax purposes. It did not print and then thought I would add an credit card account for Nordstroms.
